The project of BIG is called Alphabet of Light. It is a modular system of lighting elements – both straight and curved – that create a new light font by writing the letters of the alphabet. The partnership between Artemide and Mercedes-Benz Style has resulted into the revolutionary project Ameluna, a lighting appliance with a high-tech intelligence that is conveyed both through optoelectronic innovation and through the ability to interact with its surroundings in a sort of digital dialogue. With Tapio Rosenius, Artemide investigates the theme Light Over Time (LoT), a series of lighting tools that allow to design and review, reinterpret and modulate space like never before – innovative projectors, as well as the software to operate them.
The Artemide showroom in the Soho district, New York, will offer both these new projects and the iconic products of the company’s Design and Architectural collections, conceived by great international architects and designers, such as Ross Lovegrove, Jean Nouvel, David Chipperfield, Wilmotte & Associates, Herzog & De Meuron.
These appliances can satisfy the needs of all application fields and offer perfect solutions to improve the quality of life in dwelling spaces – both our own and those of future generations.
