Waves, an installation conceived by Francesca Benedetto and created on occasion of the Furniture Exhibition, opens “(f)Acts on Climate Change”, a series of initiatives conceived by One Works and curated by Daniele Moretti, a journalist specializing in environmental issues, aimed at analyzing and stimulating a debate on the importance of a new project for the world.
Curated by Francesca Benedetto, Design Critic at the Harvard Graduate School of Design and founder of the YellowOffice studio, in co-operation with Violaine Buet, seaweed designer and member of the “Department of seaweed”, a cross-disciplinary and international platform for research on seaweed as a sustainable resource, “WAVES” will physically drive visitors across a sequence of waves of increasing height created with seaweed, reproducing a tangible experience of current climatic changes.
Artemide illuminates the installation with the skills developed with patented RWB light, which takes care of nature. Controlled-light spots, as well as products like Rigel and Yang combining good light with a footprint that establishes a strong relation between man and light.
