Örni
Halloween

Örni Halloween is the pseudonym used by Ernesto Gismondi from 1974 until the mid-1990s to sign his early lamp and furniture projects for Artemide.
At the beginning of his activity as a designer, Gismondi preferred to keep his own figure of entrepreneur separate from that of designer, in order

to run simultaneously these two activities and to be able to express himself freely in the design of luminaires with a more decorative line.
In this way, while Gismondi signed projects with a sober character (such as the Sintesi lamp, 1975) and high technological content (remember Aton, the first complex lighting system put into production by Artemide in 1980), with the name of his alter-ego he signed the Eretteo table (1974), the lamps Macumba (1974), Minosse (1976), Poto (1976) and most of the Venexiana Collection, made of delicate blown glass in Murano glassworks: Ermione, Gaia and Leda (1992), Cigno (1994), Santori (1996) and Pantalica (1995), the latter still in production.
