On the occasion of the Milan Design Week, the laboratory Audi City Lab interprets his idea of the relationship between innovation and vision of the future with the Fifth Ring installation by MAD Architects and Artemide.
Artemide's expertise at creating not just standard products but special projects too in partnership with top international architecture studios is perfectly demonstrated in the project.
The Fuorisalone event Audi City Lab staged in the Archbishop's Palace at Corso Venezia 11 features a spectacular light installation designed by Mad studio: a huge ring measuring around 19 metres in diameter, suspended from the ceiling, with a custom lighting solution by Artemide.
An elementary shape which nonetheless generates dynamic white or coloured light that interacts with music to create an engaging and variable mood.
The touch point of Audi City Lab in Via Montenapoleone will feature the 3-D sculpture “Light Motion” representing the lines of Alcon concept car. Artemide takes a structure with flowing, continuous curves and brings it to life with slender fibre-optic profiles that emphasise the shape. The 3-D effect accentuated by the light generates a perceptive experience that varies depending on different viewpoints.
