Vice President of Artemide, architect and designer based in Milan, Carolina Gismondi de Bevilacqua combines a deep design sensibility with a cultural and innovative vision of business. After graduating in Civil Architecture from the Politecnico di Milano, she continued her studies in London, earning a diploma from the Architectural Association.
Her professional journey weaves together architecture, art, design, lighting, and communication.
Since 2019, she has helped shape Artemide’s identity, overseeing both the digital and architectural image of the brand while also developing interior design projects for residential and commercial spaces. In 2024, she became responsible for Product Strategy, leading the entire development process of Artemide’s collections—from conception to market launch.
Raised within an industrial environment that has made light a means of both humanistic and technological expression, Carolina carries forward the company’s founding values: sustainability, design culture, Made in Italy, and ethical innovation. Her vision promotes a design approach that enhances quality of life and fosters a conscious dialogue with the environment.
Alongside her professional work, Carolina is actively engaged in social causes: she supports several international animal protection organizations and, as a young female designer, she is an outspoken advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and for combating gender stereotypes in professional and cultural contexts.
