Enzo Mari, Novara 1932 - Milano 2020, begins to work directing his attention to the meaning of shape and plan. This activity, begun with researches on the visual perception, included  plays for children, graphic, design and architecture too.He held lessons at the "Centre of Study of Visual Comunication"
at the University of Parma, at the "Academy of Fine Arts" in Carrara, at the "School of Architecture" (Polytechnic of Milan) and at the ISIA of Florence. Recently he taught at the "Hochschüle der Kunste” in Berlin and at the "Hochschüle fur angewandt Kunst” of Vienna.

In 2002 the “School of Architecture" of the Polytechnic of Milan bestowed the Laurea Honoris Causa in Industrial Design. He showed his works in different museums as "La Biennale" of Venice, "La Triennale" of Milan, the "Scholoss Charlottenburg" of Berlin, the "Santa Monica Gallery" of Barcelona and the "Gallery of Modern Art" in San Marino.

Specimens of his masterpieces are included in various museums among which the "CSAC" of Parma, the "National Gallery of Modern Art" of Rome, the "MOMA" of New York and the "Triennale" of Milan. Because his work it had been bestowed awards among which the "Gold Compass".In 2001, the Bollati Boringhieri published the essay "Project and Passion" and in 2004 "The Bag Without Handle".
