Artemide is a partner of SAND - Sanremo Design 2025, a project created to foster dialogue between education, industry, and the culture of design.
From June 6 to 13, 2025, the city of Sanremo will host exhibitions, talks, and installations exploring the research of companies, designers, and students on the contemporary meaning of design and the evolution of its language.
The initiative is led by the Accademia di Belle Arti of Sanremo, which boldly and creatively directs a diverse programme. Students take an active role in shaping the exhibition and curatorial paths, becoming key voices in the design narrative.
SAND25 presents itself as an open cultural platform, a laboratory of exchange and experimentation that embraces design in all its forms, from education to product, from concept to vision. Artemide contributes its know-how to forge new connections between industry and future.

“Sanremo is a special place for me. My husband Ernesto, founder of Artemide, was born here. He always believed in ‘making’ as the foundation of design and as a fundamental tool for young people and their professional growth”
“This experience with the Academy of Fine Arts is a perfect example of how know-how, when combined with vision and creativity, can give shape to future-oriented realities like SAND. It’s not just an academic path, but a project developed with passion and professionalism by the school, capable of engaging with the history, identity, and expertise of companies, and then opening up to the local community. That is why Artemide immediately believed in this initiative — not only as a one-time event, but as a platform for open and constructive dialogue.”
