During the Salone del Mobile week, from April 16th to 22nd, the historic Galleria Manzoni in Milan turns into a triumph of colors.
Studio Marco Piva signs the Design Concept of the exhibition "The Secret Colors of Milan" for Marie Claire Maison - the monthly magazine of the Hearst Italia group directed by Cinzia Felicetti - showing visitors in transit from all over the world and to the citizens of Milan elements of furniture, lighting solutions, fabrics and coverings, jewels and art objects.
The aim of the exhibition is to tell, through the dominant theme of color, the all-Italian sensitivity to spaces, materials and details, which represents the best of our country in the world.
Eight rooms and respective windows, facing the axis of the Manzoni Gallery, are the protagonists of a journey that allows you to experience an intense sensorial experience linked to the theme of color.
The Secret Colors of Milan is a visual and material installation that involves the visitor on a journey to discover new "Still Life".
Milan is back in the limelight, internationally recognized as a place full of excitement and full of opportunities. But it is also considered a city on a human scale where it is pleasant to meet, live and work and that has nothing to envy to other cities.
Business, fashion, design, lifestyle come together in consolidated activities and new creative episodes.
Milan is also experiencing a new spring from the tourist point of view, in which the Duomo, the Teatro alla Scala, the Sforza Castle stand out, but also lesser-known places and monuments emerge: no less fascinating and attractive.
From these assumptions the idea of the exhibition THE SECRET COLORS OF MILAN is born, able to represent the refinement, the elegance and the amazing exclusivity of this truly unique city.
The Studio Marco Piva has imagined to realize a series of "Still Life" inside the prestigious windows of Via Manzoni. Each showcase will be characterized by a dominant chromatic matrix.
The colors selected to interpret the spaces are Red, Pearl, Bronze, Green, Silver, Translucent, Pure White, Gold, Black.
These "Secret Spaces", through the careful selection of furniture and decorative elements, give the public of FUORISALONE 2018 the image of environments that, thanks to ideal "windows", can be overlooked on wonderful and exclusive corners of the city of Milan .
The selected products follow one another in a scenographic exhibition context, alluding to fragments of contemporary living spaces, reinterpreted by the magic of the selected chromatism.
The exhibition will include series and one-off products from leading Italian companies, designed by Ettore Sottsass, Carlotta De Bevilacqua, Ernesto Gismondi, Marco Piva and other well-known Italian designers.
