Alphabet of Light is a language of light that enables free expression, an elementary principle that generates an open system. Starting from an abacus of essential geometric elements, also environmentally certified with an EPD (Environmental Product Declaration), BIG designs a new font translated into light: an alphabet for writing and expressing thoughts, a tool for shaping space.
Alphabet of Light makes it possible to draw with light in space not only through words, but also through graphic signs. Curved linear elements and joints complement the system of letters, numbers, and symbols. The circular element, available in three diameters, is divided into modules that allow the linear elements to be connected at different angles, creating ever-changing geometries. These simple modules, defined by precise geometric proportions, can be combined to build infinite light structures, either essential or more complex, linear or curvilinear, creating suspended compositions that interact with architecture and spatial functions.
BIG’s idea combines with Artemide’s optoelectronic expertise to define an innovative construction principle and deliver continuous, comfortable light. A minimal presence that integrates patented optoelectronic and mechanical innovation at the highest level.
